Local SEO for
East Bay
Businesses

Most local searches are decided in the map pack, before anyone reaches a website. We build the profile, the page structure, and the technical foundations that decide whether you show up there, then measure it, so you can tell what actually moved.

What We Do

Local Search Is Four Jobs, Not One

The map pack, first

For “near me” searches the decision happens in the map pack, above the organic results, before anyone reaches a website. That means a fully built Google Business Profile: categories, services, hours, photos, and the structured data that tells Google what kind of business you are.

A page per thing you sell

One page cannot rank for six services. Each service, treatment, or product gets its own page, its own search intent, and its own path to booking, which is also how you stop competing with yourself.

Technical foundations

Crawlable structure, canonicals, an accurate sitemap, schema for the business type, fast mobile pages, and no orphaned pages sitting outside the internal link graph.

City and service-area coverage

If you serve more than one city, each one needs a real page with real local detail, not the same paragraph with the city name swapped in.

Process

How the Work Runs

01

Audit

Current rankings, the Google Business Profile, the site’s technical state, and what competitors in your category are actually doing to rank.

02

Fix the foundations

Profile, structured data, page structure, internal links, and anything blocking crawling or indexing. This is the unglamorous part that most of the gain comes from.

03

Build out the pages

One page per service, treatment, or city, written for the search behind it rather than for a keyword count.

04

Measure

Search Console and analytics wired up so rankings, impressions, and calls are visible, and so we can tell which changes worked.

05

Expand

Monthly: more pages where there is real search volume, profile upkeep, and fixes as Google changes.

What Moves and What Does Not

Where Local SEO Actually Comes From

Most of the gain in local search comes from a short list of unglamorous things: a Google Business Profile that is fully filled in and categorised correctly, one page per thing you sell, structured data that describes the business type accurately, and a site that a phone can load and navigate. None of it is a secret, and all of it is work.

What does not move the needle: keyword density, submitting your site to directories in bulk, publishing thin blog posts on a schedule because a tool said to, or buying links. If an agency’s pitch leans on volume (hundreds of citations, dozens of articles), ask what search each one is supposed to win.

The honest constraint is competition and time. In a category where three businesses have ranked for a decade with hundreds of reviews, the map pack is not going to reorder itself in six weeks. What we can do in six weeks is make sure nothing on your side is disqualifying you: an unclaimed profile, a single page trying to rank for six services, no structured data, and no measurement to tell you which is which.

Questions

Fair Questions About SEO

How long does local SEO take?

Local SEO moves in months, not weeks. Google Business Profile work and technical fixes can show up quickly; competing for a category term against businesses with years of history takes longer. Anyone promising a fixed timeline is guessing.

Can you guarantee a number one ranking?

No, and nobody honest can: Google does not sell or promise positions. What we can do is fix the things that are provably in the way: an unclaimed profile, one page trying to rank for six services, missing structured data, and a site nobody can navigate on a phone.

What is actually included each month?

Google Business Profile maintenance, on-page work on the pages that matter, technical fixes, content expansion where there is a real search behind it, and reporting on what changed. Not a PDF of vanity metrics.

Should I start with SEO or Google Ads?

If you need leads this month, Google Ads buys visibility immediately while SEO compounds in the background. If you have time and a thin budget, SEO first. Most local businesses we work with end up running both for exactly that reason.
